Derek worked almost 10 years in ice cream franchise operations before joining HigherMe – a restaurant hiring software company serving over 10,000 locations – in 2017. After wearing several hats, he ultimately led the company as CEO through a successful acquisition in 2021. He’s an advisor and investor in several restaurant tech companies, and excited to be working with the Smart Trainer team!
